STUDENTS' PROTEST: WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

‘Education’ is a prevalent word along with a fundamental right that arises in the brain, especially when we talk about the students. It is only natural that when there are any hostilities in the reception and dissemination of real education, it is only the movement or the strike that emerges. The rest of the question remains whether it be students or teachers; How far is it acceptable for the society to stop strikes or to stop the protests? Today’s student organizations may seem harsh on this, but there is no shortage of people to question. The catastrophic epidemic Covid-19 that has now erupted around the world is not only an empty economy but also a huge loss in education that creates a greater politics in it. Gradually, all schools and educational institutions in the country were closed due to the ill-effect of this pandemic and a significant change in the Indian education system began. In a developing country like India, where even in the 21st century (Year 2018-19) electricity is not available to nearly 2.3 million villages, mobile phones are not available in 7% or 63,000 villages, there is an issue of online education! Is not less than a humour. Not an alternative also. The problem has been going on for a long time, no one cares; Neither the local leader nor the administrator, they're busy with their works and our government sits down to weep the eggplant field the day before the outing. However, the children struggled a lot without finding enlightenment in order to acquire the enlightened prodigious results, whether it was at the crest of a hill or on the branch of a tree. Anyway, by the flow of the moments of calamity, the students finished their online education. Finally, again it's observed that the second wave of the Corona (Covid-19) is very deadly and dangerous as compared to the first; It would be appropriate to make the tests of the students through online, thought the Government. Many intellectuals have questioned, "whether the online testing process is possible for everyone and convenient everywhere?" The real answer to this question is to ask, "Where were you when the kids were studying via online?" Particularly if most of the underdeveloped areas like Kalahandi, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj are covered under consideration, then 70% of the students studying in government schools or colleges like institutions do not have mobiles or computers to available online. In such a situation, the government has no choice but to suffer the consequences of negligence; and there is no other option for the students rather than protesting or striking in order to warn the government to cancel the exams. Or why will it be the menace for the government to face its harsh and unexpected results; if the decentralization and quality of education cannot be improved due to the artificial intelligence of education in the modern age? The government also cancelled the test; So, who benefited from this? Are the students in the slum areas who do not have the equipment to study, or the students who have not read the text having the ownership of all the equipment to study, or the government? Even after the cancellation of the exam, there was a lot of hesitation, many said that our lessons fell into the water, the government is worried! But the child who expressed his sorrow at the cancellation of the test, no matter how far he went through the lesson in order to acquire knowledge, is not unknown or absent because here we see nothing but blaming others. The student sitting in the Air Conditioner house holding a laptop does not understand, the complication and weakness of the student sitting under the lamp light in the thatched house of that class. Not only this case is in rural areas; Even in a big city like Bhubaneswar, there is an indication of such an education gaining system but there is a difference in mentality. Maybe a well-educated student can survive with an average score even if he or she does not take the exam, but can a student who has been harassed by the mistakes of government survive the career after exam? According to John Fitzgerald Kennedy, an American politician and the 35th President of the United States, "Our progress as a nation can be no swifter than our progress in education. The human mind is our fundamental resource." There is no doubt that the stronger the education system in a country, the better the country and the higher the level of humanitarian thought. The strength of the spine of any country has not yet been destroyed or can never be destroyed by any missile or explosive, as the backbone of the country is entirely dependent on the education system of the country and the intellectual knowledge of the intellectuals. The protests, strikes, agitations, roadblocks and a lack of good governance in the education system of a multi-pronged democratic country with an independent and large constitution is certainly a matter of concern and detrimental to the future. So, it would not take long for India’s education system to collapse unless it is necessary to make a clear, transparent and immediate decision with an important interpretation in this regard.
