An obedient Daughter-in-law!!       "It's a short tale about today's daughter-in-law's"..

Good morning mummy ji, with warm smile on her face she greeted her mil( mother in law)      Huh! It's not a good morning it's a bad morning. Have you seen the time? It's almost 8 in the morning. Do you have any idea about the rules and regulations of this house?  Your father-in-law and I use to have our morning tea around 6 o clock. We are waiting for a long but there was no sign of you. Now you came here to greet us morning?? With wide opened eyes Sudha stared at Priya, and left no stone unturned to humiliate her.    Priya, a few months back got hitched to Kamal (Sudha's only son). She was unaware of the rules and regulations of the family so many times caught in her mommy -in-law's trap.    Today was also the same scenario. She woke up late and Sudha got a chance to comment and scold her. In her defense, she tried to elaborate herself and said, mummy ji today is Sunday, everyone was sleeping so I also thought to get up late. What will I do even after getting up early? Priya said in a mimicry way tried to make sudha calm but all was in vain.      Sudha with a cold look stared at her,  and with raised brows she set her target.  oh! So on Sundays or on holidays, you'll wake up at 8-9 AM. Don't your mother teach you about the basic manners of being a daughter-in-law? Priya with a perplexed look gazed at her MIL. What basic manners mummy ji??  Oh! So you don't know? When I was of your age I used to wake up early in the morning and shower in Braham muhurta. Then only I enter the kitchen to prepare food, not like you who's a late riser, and enter the kitchen without showering up.  Priya was listening calmly, while Sudha ji was narrating her commendation saga. With a nodding head like a lame Priya left for taking a shower, but a few questions were still wandering in her mind.  First, at what time does she have to wake up early? Second, what will she do after waking up early( specially on weekends)? Mummy ji hasn't told me about this. Should I ask or just wait for her?       *********************************      The very next day Priya woke up early in the morning and took a shower in Braham muhurta.  Now she was waiting for what to do. As all the family members were sleeping including her MIL. Roming lonely in the house many thoughts were pondering in her mind. When randomly  a thought hit her of being praised by her mil.  To be a good daughter-in-law she prepared her MIL's favorite ginger tea with two spoons of sugar one spoon of kadak chai patti, a pinch of cardamom powder and very little milk. The aroma of ginger and cardamom tea spreads in the kitchen. Priya was drooling in joy and her ears were desperately waiting for the magical words to listen from her MIL.  Being overjoyed Priya headed towards her MIL's room. She knocked on the door which was closed from the inside. She knocked 2-3 times but no one was there to open it. This time she tried a little harder.  Kaun hai??  The faded sound of her MIL gave her a chance to wait for her.   Mummy ji! main hun, Priya.   Aapki bahu...  It's me mummy ji, Priya.   In a flurry, Sudha opened the door. With dozing half-opened eyes, what happened? What are you doing here at this time? Mummy ji, your favorite ginger tea. Please have it and give me your blessings. I want to be like you. Priya handed the cup of tea to Sudha and bent infront of her for blessings. Sudha with confusion gazed at the wall clock. It's 4 in the morning. What are you doing this time? And who told you that I want tea? Sudha interrogated Priya angrily.  But mummy ji, yesterday you said that at my age you woke up early in the morning and took a bath in Braham muhurta, and 3-4 AM is Brahma muhurta mummy ji. It's a good time mummy ji, you can also take a bath. Priya said it like an innocent child. Hmm... Mummy ji, I want be like you only. Now daily I'll wake up early and take bath. Now, please tell me what I have to do. I don't want to do anything without your concern. So you have to tell me. Priya said with a witty smile.  With annoyance, do whatever you want, but don't disturb me. Let me sleep. Sudha said.  No mummy ji, I want to be a good daughter-in-law, and being a good daughter-in-law it's my responsibility to listen you and follow your orders. For that, you have to tell me mummy ji what I have to do now. Innocently Priya asked.  Do one thing, go and sleep peacefully, and from tomorrow onwards please wake up at your time and do whatever you want. But don't try to disturb my sleep like this. Frustrated Sudha ji smashed the door on Priya's face.  With a wicked smile, Priya headed toward her room.  The vamps of tv serials were feeling jealous of her for being too smart. She was drooling with joy and patted her back. While laying on her bed she was praising her sharp mind.  Kamal, her husband laying next to her with closed eyes asked her, where she was for so long?? I had to teach someone a lesson.  Priya said while caressing his hair.   Whom??  He asked, Someone very special and talented. Don't worry about that. She said with a smile and planted a kiss on his cheeks.    "From now onwards her mother-in-law will not accuse her of being a late riser and not listening to her as she woke up early and asked her for the household chores. How she had to do? What she has to do? N all".  Priya was over the moon. Now she can sleep as much as she wants. (Hahahaha) no one is there to interrupt her while sleeping. And fell into a deep sleep again with a snoring sound.        ( This post is just for entertainment and fun reading don't take it otherwise as I'm too a daughter in law and suggest everyone to respect their mother in laws.)    Hope you like my post.      Thank you      ❤️with love Juhi❤️
