1. The Decision-Making Logic in Japan's Adult Product Consumption Is Shifting

In the past, Japanese consumers often chose adult products based on shop recommendations, advice from acquaintances, or popular rankings. Today, however, the mindset of adult buyers has significantly shifted, with the focus moving toward **making purchases only after full personal endorsement**, leading to a more rational and individualized decision-making process.

1.1 Transitioning from Passive Recommendation Acceptance to Autonomous Research

In the traditional model, many people relied on store clerk recommendations or word-of-mouth from social circles to make purchasing decisions. Nowadays, consumers are accustomed to researching reviews, material specifications, and user experiences online in advance, comparing product features. They no longer buy based solely on others' positive feedback but instead assess whether the product aligns with their own needs.

1.2 Privacy Awareness Drives Changes in Decision-Making Approaches

Japanese society places great emphasis on personal privacy. Adult products are considered highly private consumption,バイブ and many buyers are reluctant to discuss related topics with others, thus preferring to rely on online information for independent judgment and minimizing dependence on recommendations from others.

2.1 Information Collection Phase: Emphasize Safety and Material

Consumers primarily focus on material safety and the presence of harmless certifications, followed by details such as noise levels and dimensions. Japanese consumers have high standards for product safety and meticulously verify compliance with domestic regulations, as safety serves as the foundation for achieving "nado (acceptance).".

2.2 Final Decision: Judging Based on Personal Feelings

After completing the information comparison, buyers no longer prioritize whether a product is highly recommended by many, but instead ask themselves if it suits their preferences. 3. Market Insights: Product Operations Adapting to the New Decision-Making Model

Faced with this change, brands cannot rely solely on word-of-mouth marketing. Transparent product specifications, genuine reviews, and clear, easy-to-understand instructions help consumers independently understand products, making purchases more likely. As perspectives gradually open up, the consumption of adult products will further evolve toward rationality and personalization, shifting purchasing decisions from following others back to meeting one's own needs.
