Amazon states that sellers generally need GST or PAN details, depending on the products being sold, along with an active bank account. GST details are required for taxable goods, while certain GST-exempt products may be sold using PAN details.

You should also have an active mobile number and email address, business information, pickup address, and relevant product details available before starting the registration process. Having these details ready can make the process easier and reduce delays.

Steps for Amazon Seller Registration

1. Create Your Seller Account

Visit Amazon's official seller website and select the option to start selling. Existing Amazon customers may use their existing login details, while new users can create an Amazon account using their name, mobile number, email address, and password.

2. Add and Verify Tax Details

For taxable products, sellers need to provide their GST number during registration. Amazon verifies the GST information, and sellers may need to upload their GST certificate if verification does not succeed automatically. Sellers dealing exclusively in GST-exempt products can follow the applicable exemption process.

3. Add Business and Pickup Information

Enter your store name, business details, and pickup address. The pickup address is important because it determines where products will be collected when using supported shipping services.

4. Add Your Bank Account

An active business bank account needs to be added to the seller account. Amazon uses the registered bank account to transfer payments generated from online sales after applicable charges.
