Trade shows remain one of the best ways for lighting professionals to see new technology up close, compare solutions, and meet the people behind the products. Among the most important events in the Asia-Pacific calendar is the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo, which brings together global brands, buyers, and innovators with a focus on outdoor lighting and technological progress.

Inside KML’s Showcase at the Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo

At the 2025 edition of the expo, held from October 28 to 31 at AsiaWorld-Expo, KML presented its latest solutions at booths 28-A31 and A33. Guided by a philosophy of technology-driven development and quality first, the company used the event to demonstrate how efficient, reliable, and intelligent lighting can transform outdoor engineering, industrial automation, and smart city projects. This article looks back at the three product series KML showcased and what they reveal about the direction of professional lighting.

Why the Expo Matters for the Lighting Industry

The Hong Kong expo is more than a product display. It acts as a meeting point where manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and project owners from across Asia and beyond exchange ideas and explore business opportunities. Visitors gain insight into emerging trends such as smart control, energy efficiency, and sustainable design. For manufacturers, it is a chance to show their capabilities directly to international buyers. KML invited visitors to book appointments in advance, offering personalized consultations covering product selection, customization, and partnership models.

Industrial Smart Lighting Takes Center Stage

led highbay light manufacturer one of the highlights of KML’s booth was its UFO high bay series for factories and warehouses. As an established , KML used the series to demonstrate the potential of combining high efficiency with intelligent control. The fixtures deliver light output exceeding 200 lumens per watt and support 0-10V dimming, adjustable color temperature and power through DIP switches, and microwave or infrared motion sensing. By adjusting brightness automatically based on activity, the system enables on-demand lighting and can save up to 60 percent on energy consumption.

Built for Dusty and Hot Industrial Environments

Industrial spaces can be tough on lighting, with dust, heat, and long operating hours all taking their toll. KML’s UFO high bays use an integrated sealing process along with highly conductive thermal silicone and efficient heat dissipation to maintain stable operation over extended periods. This robust construction helps fixtures keep performing in environments where lower-quality products would degrade quickly. For facility managers, this means fewer failures, lower maintenance costs, and more consistent lighting across the working day.

Centralized Control and Energy Monitoring

The industrial series also featured an integrated smart management system. Facility teams can control multiple lights centrally, monitor energy consumption, and receive fault alerts through a mobile app, tablet, computer, or backend platform. This level of visibility allows managers to identify problems quickly and optimize lighting schedules for maximum savings. As more factories pursue digital transformation, smart lighting management is becoming an important part of broader efforts to improve efficiency and sustainability.

High-Power Floodlights for Outdoor Engineering

For ports, stadiums, and urban landscapes, KML displayed a new generation of high-efficiency floodlights capable of up to 500 watts. These fixtures use a customized heat dissipation module combining aerospace-grade aluminum with a biomimetic structure to maintain low light decay under prolonged heavy use. High-precision lenses and anti-glare coatings control light distribution, delivering strong brightness while limiting light pollution. This combination supports the industry’s move toward greener, more responsible outdoor lighting.

Designed for Extreme Weather

Outdoor lighting must cope with challenging conditions, from coastal salt spray to freezing winters and intense heat. KML’s floodlights offer IP66 protection and corrosion-resistant, weatherproof housings, allowing stable operation in temperatures from minus 40 to plus 50 degrees Celsius. They are suited to high-humidity and high-salt environments, making them a strong option for coastal regions and cold climates. Durability on this level reduces maintenance needs in locations where accessing fixtures can be difficult and expensive.

Smart City Lighting for Connected Urban Spaces

The third series focused on intelligent streetlights for smart cities. These multifunctional poles combine lighting with environmental monitoring of temperature, humidity, and air quality, security features such as cameras and infrared sensors, and the ability to carry wireless communication equipment. Adaptive algorithms adjust brightness according to traffic volume and time of day, balancing safety with energy efficiency. Support for communication protocols including RS485, 4G, and PLC allows integration with city management platforms for traffic, environmental, and emergency data.

What the Showcase Says About KML

Taken together, the three series demonstrate KML’s ability to serve a wide range of applications, from industrial interiors to outdoor infrastructure and connected cities. They also reflect the company’s emphasis on efficiency, intelligence, and durability. Supported by a 12,000 square meter production base, ISO9001 quality management, and a sales network spanning more than 100 countries, KML continues to use events like the Hong Kong expo to connect with partners and share its vision for the future of professional lighting.

Looking Ahead

Industry events provide a valuable snapshot of where technology is heading, and KML’s presence at the Hong Kong expo highlighted the growing importance of smart control, high efficiency, and rugged design. For buyers who could not attend, the products shown remain available through KML’s direct sales channels, with customized proposals, DIALux simulations, and fast sampling to support new projects. As lighting continues to evolve, manufacturers that combine innovation with reliable production will play a leading role in shaping the industry.
