Farm-to-consumer food brand KisaanSay is aiming to work with 2 lakh farmers by FY27 as it expands its sourcing footprint across 15 states in India. The agri-food startup is strengthening its farmer network and product sourcing capabilities to meet growing demand for traceable, single-origin food products while supporting farmer incomes.

Founded by Nitin Puri, Vaishali Mehta, and Manoj Karki, KisaanSay currently partners with farmer enterprises and farmer producer companies (FPCs) to source food products directly from agricultural communities. The company operates through a farm-to-consumer model that focuses on reducing supply chain gaps and improving market access for farmers.

The expansion plan includes increasing sourcing operations across 15 states and significantly growing its farmer network to 2 lakh by FY27. The move aligns with the company's broader strategy of scaling agricultural procurement, strengthening rural livelihoods, and expanding access to natural and single-origin food products across India.

KisaanSay currently offers more than 100 SKUs across multiple food categories and has built partnerships with farmer enterprises covering tens of thousands of farmers across the country. The company distributes its products through its direct-to-consumer platform, e-commerce marketplaces, quick commerce channels, and select offline retail stores.

Earlier this year, the Gurugram-based startup raised Rs 34 crore in a Series A funding round led by NABVENTURES. The capital is being deployed towards expanding distribution, strengthening technology infrastructure, growing its sourcing ecosystem, and increasing market reach.

As India's agri-food sector continues to evolve, companies such as KisaanSay are increasingly focusing on direct sourcing, food traceability, farmer partnerships, and sustainable supply chains to meet changing consumer preferences while creating additional income opportunities for farming communities.
