Every successful business depends on people showing up on time, completing their assigned hours, and following the right work schedules. But managing these details becomes difficult when employees work across different locations, follow rotating shifts, or receive salaries based on their attendance.

A digital workforce management solution can help bring these activities together. factoTime is an employee attendance and time-tracking app that helps businesses organise check-ins, working hours, leave records, shifts, and payroll-related information in one place.

Businesses looking to improve their daily workforce operations can explore this employee time tracking and attendance solution for Android to discover a more organised alternative to traditional registers and spreadsheets.

Build Trust with Selfie-Based Attendance

Recording attendance accurately is important for both employers and employees. Manual registers may contain missing entries, while shared attendance methods can make it difficult to confirm who actually reported for work.

factoTime supports selfie-based check-ins with GPS location and exact timestamps. This combination helps businesses associate attendance records with a selfie, the time of the entry, and the recorded location.

Employees can use their mobile devices to mark attendance, while authorised administrators can review available records. This can help reduce proxy punching and make attendance verification more convenient for distributed teams.

Understand Where Working Hours Go

Knowing when employees arrive is only one part of workforce management. Businesses also need to understand the hours worked during a day, week, or month.

factoTime provides working-hour summaries and employee attendance histories that help administrators review recorded time. When an entry is missed, administrators can make manual corrections to maintain more complete records.

The app also supports date-based reports and PDF or Excel exports, allowing businesses to organise information for management reviews, accounting, and internal documentation.

These tools can be particularly helpful for organisations that previously relied on manually combining attendance sheets at the end of each month.

Simplify Shift Planning and Overtime Records

Different industries have different scheduling needs. A factory may operate multiple shifts, a security agency may require overnight duty, and a construction company may coordinate workers across changing project schedules.

factoTime supports day, night, split, and rotating shift arrangements through configurable rules. Administrators can define working days and pay types for individual employees and manage attendance according to their business requirements.

Overtime and late-hour handling can also help reduce repetitive calculations. Correct configuration is essential, especially when businesses have specific overtime policies or employees work across midnight.

Organise Holidays, and Attendance Status

factoTime supports attendance categories such as Present, Absent, Half Day, and Overtime, along with holiday, weekly-off, and approved-leave records.

Keeping these details organised helps administrators review employee attendance and prepare more consistent monthly summaries. It can also make it easier to identify missing information before payroll processing begins.

Bring Payroll Preparation into the Workflow

Attendance records often form an important part of salary preparation. Businesses may need to consider working days, recorded hours, overtime, leave, and individual pay arrangements before finalising employee payments.

factoTime helps businesses organise attendance and working-hour information alongside payroll-related features and salary-slip workflows. Maintaining these details in one system can reduce the need to gather information from multiple spreadsheets and registers.

For the best results, administrators should review attendance corrections, verify configured salary rules, and confirm payroll calculations before issuing payments.

Manage Employees at Different Work Locations

Many businesses employ people who rarely spend their entire working day in one office. Field sales representatives, delivery personnel, drivers, security guards, and construction workers may report to different sites.

factoTime supports teams working in offices, remote environments, and field locations. Its geofencing functionality can help restrict attendance punching to designated work areas, while QR-based attendance provides another option for fixed workplaces and entry gates.

Multi-site and multi-team management allows business owners to coordinate workforce information through one account, making the approach suitable for businesses with multiple branches or project locations.

Designed for Different Industries

factoTime can be considered by:

Small and medium-sized businesses
Retail shops and service providers
Factories and manufacturing teams
Construction companies and contractors
Security and facility-management agencies
Delivery, transport, and field-service teams
Schools, clinics, gyms, salons, and NGOs

Its combination of attendance tracking, shift management, timesheets, and reporting can support organisations that want to replace disconnected manual processes with a more structured digital workflow.

Keep Employee Data Use Transparent

Attendance apps may process selfies, location information, timestamps, and payroll-related records. Businesses should communicate their monitoring policies clearly, explain why the information is collected, and ensure that access is limited to authorised users.

Employers should also follow applicable privacy requirements and use employee information only for legitimate, authorised workforce-management purposes.

Final Thoughts

Reliable employee time tracking helps businesses maintain clearer records, coordinate shifts, and prepare payroll information with less manual effort. A well-organised system can also make attendance histories easier to review when questions arise.

factoTime combines selfie and GPS attendance, working-hour summaries, shift management, leave records, geofencing, and digital reporting in a mobile-based solution. For organisations that want a more convenient way to coordinate their workforce, it is worth exploring.

Make everyday attendance management more organised with factoTime and take a practical step towards a more efficient, paperless workplace.
