A receipt is an important record when selling gold jewellery. It helps document the transaction and gives you something to refer to if you need to verify the agreed terms later.

When you Sell Gold, review the receipt carefully before leaving the premises

.

Check the Buyer’s Details

Where applicable, confirm that the receipt contains the business name and relevant contact information. Depending on local requirements, it may also include registration or tax details.

These details help identify the business involved in the transaction.

Review the Jewellery Description

Check whether the receipt records the jewellery or items sold. It may include descriptions, quantities, weights, or other identifying information, depending on the buyer's procedures.

Make sure the information corresponds with the items you intended to sell.

Verify the Valuation

Review any recorded purity, net weight, applicable rate, deductions, and final amount. If the receipt does not provide a detailed breakdown, ask for a separate valuation statement.

Understanding these figures helps you verify the calculation.

Confirm Payment Information

Check the amount payable and the payment method. If payment is made electronically, retain the corresponding confirmation.

If any details are incorrect, request clarification or correction before finalising the transaction.

Keep Your Records Secure

Store the receipt with other relevant documents. Avoid sharing it unnecessarily because it may contain personal or transaction information.

Conclusion

Before completing a transaction with Gold Buyers, check that your receipt accurately reflects the sale. When you Sell Gold, keeping a clear record of the items, valuation, and payment can help you track the transaction and resolve questions if they arise.
